Ingredients for 6 people

  • 6 medium-sized shrimp without the shell and with the tail.
  • 350 gr. of octopus.
  • Round tomato.
  • A green pepper (remove the seeds, blanch for 3 minutes and cut into pieces).
  • 200 gr. diced pineapple.
  • Onion cut into 6 wedges.

For the marinade

  • Half a cup of dry sherry.
  • 2 tablespoons of sesame oil.
  • One tablespoon of ground sesame seeds.
  • A minced garlic clove.
  • A pinch of salt and freshly ground pepper.
  • Half a teaspoon of ginger.

 

Preparation

  • In a bowl, mix all the ingredients for the marinade, add the shrimp, the octopus and let it rest at room temperature for 30 minutes.
  • Drain, keeping the marinade to make the sauce. Put the pieces of fish on 6 skewers, alternating with vegetables and pineapple.
  • Cook the skewers on the griddle or grill for about 10 minutes.
  • During cooking, turn the sea skewers several times, sprinkling them with the marinade or marinade. It can be served with steamed rice.

Squid and shrimp skewers with cherry tomatoes

  • 500 gr of shrimp or prawns already cleaned.
  • 8 squid (about 300 grams).
  • 2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil.
  • 8 prawns.
  • 8 cherry tomatoes.
  • 40 ml white wine.
  • Salt to taste.

To bread

  • 50 g of breadcrumbs.
  • 3 tablespoons of chopped parsley.
  • Pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil.
  • 1 clove garlic.

Preparation

  • To prepare the sea skewers, clean the squid: remove the lumps and keep aside, empty the bag and clean the entrails well.
  • Open the bag of squid with a center cut and cut out the rectangular pieces.
  • Cut the squid into strips of 1-2 cm and clean the shrimp removing the head, shell and leaving the tail.
  • Cut the back of each shrimp with a knife to remove the black wire inside. Cut the tomatoes in half.
