3 Quick Ways To Clean Your Glass Vases

Since plants can wilt and rot, they can leave stains that are difficult to remove. For this reason, the following cleaning techniques will surely interest you. 

Clean your glass vases with natural products

To thoroughly clean the glass vases we can do it with natural products that we usually have at home. This means that you   do not need to spend a lot of money or use  corrosive and polluting chemicals.

Technique 1

Materials

  • White vinegar
  • Coffee leftovers
  • Degreasing soap
  • Sponge
  • Small saucepan
  • Small bowl
  • Spoon

Preparation

  1. First, heat two tablespoons of vinegar in a small saucepan and bring it to the heat for a few seconds, until it reaches temperature.
  2. Then, put the coffee grounds in the container and slowly add the hot vinegar.
  3. Mix until it becomes a smooth paste. The coffee grounds have to take a little moisture to be able to polish the surface.
  4. Next, take a little of this preparation and with the sponge rub the vase.
  5. Afterwards, rinse it with hot water until the vinegar and coffee are completely gone.
  6. Then wash the container with your regular dishwasher and let it air dry.
  7. Finally, if you see that drops of lime have remained, dry with a clean and dry cloth.

Technique 2

Vase with violet flowers

Another way to clean glass vases is by making a mixture of rice, vinegar and anti-lime soap.  This technique is useful for cleaning small opening glass vases where you cannot insert your hand or a cloth.

Process:

  1. First, put a handful of rice inside the glass vase.
  2. Then, cover with warm or lukewarm water, cover the opening and shake vigorously so that the starch of the rice is distributed inside.
  3. When everything is well distributed, empty the water and the rice. Throw it away.
  4. If the stains have not disappeared, fill the vase with a mixture of vinegar and water and let it sit overnight.
  5. The next morning, remove the contents and clean the vase with dish soap and anti-scale soap, if the water in your area is too hard. Rinse and dry with a clean, soft cloth.

Technique 3

  • Hot water
  • effervescent antacid pill
  • dish soap. 

Process: 

  1. Fill the glass jar completely with hot water (it does not have to boil because it could burst).
  2. Then add the antacid pill and let its effervescent effect do the work for 30 minutes.
  3. When time passes, remove and clean with water and a few drops of soap.
  4. Finally, dry it with a clean kitchen towel or even kitchen paper so it doesn’t leave marks.
  5. You will quickly see that the acid stains have disappeared.
