How to prepare bolognese pasta

Ingredients

  • 1/2 kg of ground meat (pork, beef or lamb, etc., just make sure it is lean).
  • 1 bay leaf.
  • 1 pinch of rosemary.
  • 3 cloves of garlic (2 g).
  • 1 can of tomato paste.
  • 1 medium onion (200 g).
  • 1 tablespoon of butter (30 g).
  • 1/2 glass of red wine (50 ml).
  • Grated Parmesan cheese (to taste).
  • Olive oil, salt and pepper (to taste).

Preparation

This recipe uses tomato paste already made, so we will omit its preparation from chopped tomatoes, at least for now.

  1. Pour the olive oil into a skillet and let it heat up.
  2. Chop the garlic and onion and pour them into the oil, along with the bay leaf and a pinch of rosemary, and fry until golden brown.
  3. Once they are well fried, pour in the meat and add salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Stir well for approximately 10 to 15 minutes.
  5. When the meat is cooked, add the half glass of wine. Let the wine evaporate while you continue stirring the preparation.
  6.  Once the wine has evaporated add the tomato paste and stir constantly to prevent the paste from sticking.
  7. For the pasta to cook well, leave it on low heat for about 1 hour. Adding a half a glass of water is probably a good idea to keep it from sticking to the pan. Stir occasionally.
  8. Add to your favorite pasta and spread the Parmesan cheese evenly.

If you have some pasta left over, you can store it in a plastic jar and store in the freezer. This is the basic way to prepare Bolognese pasta.
